Lynn P. Watterson

Before joining HR Xpress in 2007, Ms. Watterson held several human resources management positions, including human resource manager at Cranston Print Works Company, and more recently with Cingular Wireless.  She has also provided human resources consulting services to businesses in the manufacturing, education, and service industries throughout the region.

Ms. Watterson has played key roles in several significant organization change initiatives and reductions in force, being cited consistently for supporting business strategies while maintaining a strong employee relations environment.    She has designed and implemented human resources policies and procedures to assist employers in achieving their goals and objectives through improved employee job performance.  Ms. Watterson has served on corporate audit teams reviewing compensation and benefits initiatives and participated in the design or redesign of programs to  decrease plan costs and improve employee satisfaction.  She also brings depth of experience in staffing and in the area of HR compliance.

Ms. Watterson currently serves as employer liaison for the Workplace Solutions program in the Division for Life-long Learning at the Community College of Rhode island, and as an adjunct instructor at Providence College.

Ms. Watterson is a long-time member and past president of the Human Resource Management Association of Rhode Island, and is an active member of the Rhode Island State Council of SHRM.  Previously she served on the board of Options for Working Parents and volunteered as a member of the United Way’s Building Adult and Neighborhood Independence Panel.

Ms. Watterson holds at MBA from Bryant University, a BA from Rhode Island College and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).

An ardent Red Sox fan, Ms. Watterson, along with her family, enjoys travel in pursuit of the goal to visit every Major League Baseball park.
